Inspection of Valuable Assets at Ram Temple

Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh), August 4 - The interim secretary of the Ram Temple Trust conducted a review of millions of rupees worth of gold, silver, and other precious metals stored in a bank locker, along with associated records. Sources from the temple disclosed this information on Tuesday. According to these sources, interim secretary Krishna Mohan visited a branch of the State Bank of India in Ayodhya on Monday evening and remained there until late at night.

During this visit, a detailed inventory of the valuable items was compiled, and photographs of the gold, silver, and other precious metals deposited in the bank locker were taken. Sources indicated that Krishna Mohan had been examining the trust's accounts and other records for the past three days, leading to the finalization of the list of funds and precious metals. They also mentioned that a newly formed Special Investigation Team (SIT), established under the Supreme Court's directives following the theft of donations at the Ram Temple, is expected to resume its work on Tuesday.

Krishna Mohan did not respond to media inquiries regarding his bank visit. However, when asked about the arrangements at the Ram Temple, he stated, "You should come, visit, and see for yourself... If there are any shortcomings, please let us know." The case of the donation theft at the Ram Temple came to light in the first week of June, prompting the Uttar Pradesh government to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) on June 13 to investigate the allegations, initially granting them 15 days for the inquiry. The SIT submitted its preliminary report to the government on June 23, leading to the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) on June 25, which resulted in the arrest of eight suspects: Avinash Shukla, Anukalp Mishra, Lavkush Mishra, Manish Kumar Yadav, Karunesh Pandey, Ramashankar Mishra, Subhash Srivastava, and Ramshankar Yadav, also known as Tinnu Yadav.
