Ayodhya, Sep 8: Retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra is set to officially begin his role as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Shri Ram Mandir Trust on Tuesday.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust appointed him to this position earlier this month, following a thorough selection process.
His appointment was confirmed during a significant meeting of the Trust, which reviewed the recommendations from a search committee tasked with finding the temple's inaugural CEO. Mishra was chosen from a competitive pool of over 5,000 candidates.
Trust members expressed their confidence in Mishra's extensive leadership experience, highlighting his distinguished 39-year career in the Indian Air Force, which they believe will greatly benefit the temple's administration.
Commissioned into the Indian Air Force on December 6, 1986, Mishra is a graduate of the National Defence Academy and played a key role as Commander during Operation Sindoor, a response to the Pahalgam terror attack linked to Pakistan.
As CEO, Mishra will oversee various critical tasks, including enhancing the temple's administration and financial management.
His main responsibilities will encompass temple management, security, staff administration, and ensuring smooth coordination among different departments and agencies.
Upon his appointment, Mishra expressed his gratitude, stating he feels privileged to serve both the nation and the devotees of Lord Ram. He remarked, "I am filled with gratitude and consider myself fortunate to take on this responsibility, serving the nation and now Lord Ram through the temple's organization and administration."
