Gaggal (Kangra): The road leading to Sonara village has fallen into a state of disrepair, creating significant challenges for the local community. This route, which serves three villages, is plagued by large potholes and muddy areas, making it hazardous for schoolchildren, vehicles, and pedestrians alike. The situation deteriorates further during the rainy season, with slippery conditions resulting in frequent accidents and injuries.

In response to the worsening conditions, villagers called upon APMC Chairman Nishu Mogra to assess the situation firsthand. The newly elected Panchayat Pradhan and Up-Pradhan were also in attendance. Residents expressed their frustration, noting that despite numerous complaints to the Panchayat and relevant authorities, no effective measures have been implemented. Schoolchildren are experiencing delays in reaching their classes, and transporting elderly patients to medical facilities has become increasingly challenging.

During his visit, Nishu Mogra assured the villagers that he would advocate for their concerns with the appropriate officials and representatives. He committed to laying down thick gravel on the road within two days as a temporary solution. However, community members, including Kapil, Ranjit Rana, Vitta, Ajay Kumar, Rajendra Kaur, Manjula Rana, Rita Kumari, Radha, Sumangla Devi, Sudarshana Devi, Anta Kumari, Sharda Devi, Bhajer Singh, Shivani, Rajiv Kumar, Avtar Singh, Ashwini Kumar, Vinay Kumar, and others, cautioned that if the issue remains unresolved before the onset of the monsoon, they will have no choice but to initiate a protest.
