Bengaluru: The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) made a triumphant return to the city after securing their first Indian Premier League (IPL) title since the league's inception in 2008. Thousands of fans lined the streets to greet the team bus as it traveled through the city. RCB clinched the championship by defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS) by six runs in the final held at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday.

An RCB supporter expressed the significance of this victory for the state, stating, "This has been an 18-year wait. It has been a challenging journey for RCB. This win is especially for Kannadigas and the state of Karnataka... They have finally done it... We truly appreciate RCB for bringing home the trophy."

Karnataka's Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced a grand felicitation event organized by the state government. He stated, "There is a program today at 4 PM in Vidhana Soudha. I, along with the Governor and ministers, will participate in the program." The ceremony will honor the RCB players on the grand steps of Vidhana Soudha, marking a proud moment for the state and its devoted cricket fans as RCB ends an 18-year wait for the prestigious IPL trophy.
