Ramayana Set to Release This Diwali

The highly anticipated film 'Ramayana' featuring Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for its release in theaters this Diwali. Recently, the film's producers organized promotional events in several major cities across the country. Advance bookings commenced on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, receiving a positive response from audiences. Notably, the film has already grossed millions in North America before its official release, which is still about ten days away, with over 100,000 tickets sold—a remarkable achievement.

Comparison with Dhurandar 2

Despite its success, 'Ramayana' is trailing behind Aditya Dhar's 'Dhurandar: The Revenge' (Dhurandar 2) in terms of initial pre-bookings. Following the massive success of 'Dhurandar' released last December, fans eagerly awaited its sequel. When 'Dhurandar 2' premiered on March 19 this year, with paid previews on March 18, the advance bookings opened 14 days prior, leading to an incredible frenzy among viewers, resulting in 140,000 tickets sold within just 24 hours.

In terms of numbers, 'Ramayana' has seen approximately 136,000 tickets sold since its advance booking began four days ago. However, it still lags significantly behind 'Dhurandar 2', which earned ₹40 crore from its paid previews and ₹52 crore from advance bookings on its opening day. In contrast, 'Ramayana' has generated over ₹8 crore through its advance ticket sales so far.
