Initial Arrests Spark Investigation

Discovery of a Larger Network
During the investigation, police identified Rajvardhan Singh Chauhan, alias Aasu, and Chirag Saxena from Etah district. On April 11, police arrested Chirag, and based on his information, Rajvardhan was captured on April 12 in the Chris Green Colony of Meerut.
Counterfeit Setup Found in Rented Flat
The police uncovered that Rajvardhan had established a complete counterfeit note printing setup in a rented flat in Meerut. They recovered fake notes totaling ₹4,88,200, including ₹4,46,000 in ₹500 denominations, along with incomplete and damaged notes. Additionally, various printing devices, including laptops, desktops, printers, a lamination machine, special paper, ink, foil, and other tools used for note production were seized.
Network Operated via Instagram and Courier Services
During questioning, Rajvardhan revealed that he learned the art of counterfeit note production from an unidentified individual in Delhi. Subsequently, he set up operations in Meerut with his friend Chirag, using Instagram to connect with clients and delivering counterfeit notes via courier or at designated locations, collecting real money in return. He also mentioned supplying fake notes to two youths in Rampur after Eid.
Police Achieves Major Success
This operation is regarded as a significant success for the police. Officials stated that a large-scale counterfeit currency network was being operated, which has now been effectively dismantled. Legal action has been initiated against both suspects under relevant sections, and efforts are ongoing to locate other individuals connected to this network.
