India's Response to Terrorism

On Sunday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized that Operation Sindoor has demonstrated the consequences for those attempting to intimidate India through terrorism. He asserted that India is fully capable of delivering a response to any provocation from Pakistan that exceeds their expectations. Speaking at the Kargil War Memorial during the 27th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, he launched a strong critique against Pakistan, accusing it of adopting terrorism as a state policy.

Focus on Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir

Rajnath Singh made it clear that discussions with Pakistan will now be limited to the issue of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, which he described as an integral part of India that Pakistan has unlawfully occupied. He referred to the historic victory in the Kargil War of 1999 as the jewel in the crown of Mother India, asserting that the nation will never forget the sacrifices made by its brave soldiers.

Operation Sindoor's Impact on Terrorism

The Defence Minister recalled the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, and the subsequent Operation Sindoor launched in May 2025. He explained that this operation effectively dealt with the masterminds of terrorism and their supporters. He warned that any attempt to undermine India's unity and integrity would result in severe repercussions.

Technological Advancements in Defence

Rajnath Singh highlighted the contrasting mindsets of the two nations, stating that India is currently developing new technologies and modern warships in the defense sector, while Pakistan remains preoccupied with finding new routes for infiltration and terrorism. He noted that India is making continuous progress, whereas Pakistan is entangled in its nefarious activities.
