Key Trades and Acquisitions

Ravi Bishnoi, aged 25, was signed by the Rajasthan Royals for Rs 7.2 crore during the mini auction held last December. Hailing from Jodhpur, this move is seen as a return to his roots, as he began his career with the Royals as a net bowler.

The team is expected to head to Guwahati on March 26, 2026, for their opening match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on March 30, according to the schedule released by the IPL Governing Council.

Major Trade: Sanju Samson to CSK

In a significant trade ahead of the IPL 2026 season, Sanju Samson, who has been a key player for the Rajasthan Royals for over a decade, has been transferred to Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He will now wear the yellow jersey.

In exchange, the Royals acquired Sam Curran and the experienced all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Jadeja was part of the Rajasthan squad that won the inaugural IPL trophy in 2008 under the leadership of the late Shane Warne, having played for the franchise during the 2008 and 2009 seasons before moving to other teams.
