Major Drug Bust by Rajasthan's Anti-Narcotics Task Force

The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of Rajasthan has executed a significant operation against drug traffickers, seizing narcotics worth over ₹30 lakhs in a single day. Under the guidance of ADG Dinesh MN and led by IG Vikas Kumar, the ANTF teams conducted surgical strikes across five different districts in the state, dubbed operation 'Panja'.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of various drugs, including opium, cannabis, and other narcotics, along with the arrest of several traffickers.

Locations of the Operations (Five Major Strikes)

  1. Bhilwara (Mandal Area): Mukesh Kumar Dholi, a resident of Chittorgarh, was apprehended with 2.058 kg of illegal opium while waiting for a bus, allegedly en route to Jaipur.

  2. Shri Ganganagar: A significant quantity of drugs was seized here as the ANTF team closely monitored the activities of traffickers, leading to a successful raid.

  3. Nagaur and Other Districts: Separate ANTF teams conducted raids in Nagaur, Balotra, Alwar, and other areas, recovering MDMA, cannabis, and poppy husk.

Details of the Operation

According to ANTF sources, the total value of the seized drugs exceeds ₹30 lakhs, with around 4 to 5 traffickers arrested during the operation.

ANTF's Firm Stance Against Drug Trafficking

IG Vikas Kumar emphasized that the campaign against drugs is ongoing, with ANTF teams conducting intelligence-based surgical strikes to dismantle inter-state and inter-district networks.

This operation comes at a time when the trafficking of synthetic drugs, particularly MD/Mephedrone, and traditional narcotics like opium is on the rise in Rajasthan. The ANTF has previously apprehended several major factories and kingpins involved in drug trafficking.

Warning to Drug Traffickers

Police officials have issued a clear warning that strict action will be taken against those involved in drug trafficking. ANTF teams are active throughout the state, and efforts are being made to strengthen the intelligence network.

ADG Dinesh MN praised the team's success and stated that such operations will continue to achieve the goal of a drug-free Rajasthan.

Local Impact

This operation is seen as a significant step towards protecting the youth of Rajasthan from drug addiction and dismantling the growing web of narcotics in society. Experts suggest that the continuous strikes by the ANTF have created considerable disruption within traffickers' networks.

Update: Interrogations of the arrested individuals are ongoing as police seek to uncover further links and larger networks. The total value of the seized drugs and the number of arrests may increase.

This success reflects the ANTF's growing strength and its zero-tolerance policy against drugs. The Rajasthan Police has also appealed to the public to report any information regarding drug activities to the ANTF helpline or the nearest police station.
