Rajasthan Minister's Heartfelt Response to Shocking Odisha Skeleton Incident
Minister's Condemnation of the Incident
Jaipur: Kirodi Lal Meena, the Agriculture Minister of Rajasthan, expressed his outrage on Wednesday regarding the disturbing skeleton incident in Odisha, labeling it a disgrace to civilized society. He announced his intention to contribute one month’s salary to support the family of the victim.
The incident involves Jitu Munda from Keonjhar district, who was seen carrying his sister's skeleton to a bank as evidence of her death in order to access her funds.
A video capturing him exiting the Odisha Gramin Bank with the remains quickly gained traction on social media.
In a post on X, Meena shared his emotional response, stating that witnessing Jitu Munda's suffering was deeply unsettling. He criticized the mistreatment of a poor tribal individual under the guise of bureaucratic procedures, calling it a stain on any civilized society.

In a show of solidarity, Meena stated, "Jitu Munda's suffering resonates with me. It is my responsibility to support him during this challenging time. I will be donating one month’s salary to his family, and the funds will be sent shortly."
He further remarked on the collective duty to prevent such incidents from happening again, ensuring that vulnerable individuals do not feel powerless in the future.
