Launch Event Details

Jaipur. On Tuesday, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma inaugurated 16 electric buses under the PM E-Bus service in Jaipur. The buses were ceremonially worshipped at the government secretariat before being flagged off. He emphasized that these electric buses are part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary plan for clean mobility. These modern buses, which operate without smoke and noise, represent a significant step towards ensuring a better environment for future generations.

Expansion of Electric Bus Services

The Chief Minister noted that 110 PM E-Buses have already been deployed across eight cities in the state. In the first phase of the PM E-Bus service, 675 electric buses have been approved for major cities including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Bikaner, Bhilwara, Alwar, and Ajmer. Additionally, due to the state government's efforts, an extra 475 electric buses have been sanctioned, bringing the total to 1,150 PM E-Buses for Rajasthan.

Commitment to Modern Public Transport

He further stated that the double engine government is continuously working to modernize public transport in the state, making it accessible and environmentally friendly. As part of this initiative, infrastructure such as bus stands and charging points for the organized operation of electric buses is being developed.

Ensuring Accessible Transport for All

The Chief Minister reiterated the government's commitment to providing affordable and convenient travel for all citizens. Recently, 144 new roadways buses were launched to ensure transport services reach remote rural areas. Furthermore, plans are in place to add 1,000 more buses to the roadways fleet soon. He highlighted that effective management has turned the roadways from a loss-making entity to a profitable one, ensuring timely salaries for roadways employees.
