Chief Minister Emphasizes Youth Involvement in Policy Making
On Tuesday, Bhajanlal Sharma, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, expressed the state government's dedication to engaging youth and incorporating their suggestions into policy-making. He highlighted that the government is actively working to meet the aspirations of young people across various sectors, including education, sports, employment, and self-employment. During the 'Flight of Dreams' event held at the Chief Minister's residence, Sharma emphasized the crucial role of disciplined and value-driven youth in building a progressive society.
Government Initiatives to Create Job Opportunities
Sharma noted that youth are filled with innovative ideas and energy. The government is committed to connecting with them and integrating their valuable insights into budgetary and policy decisions. He mentioned that over the past two and a half years, more than 178,000 young individuals have been provided with government jobs, while recruitment processes for approximately 51,000 positions are currently underway, and over 80,000 positions have been included in the recruitment calendar. Additionally, preparations are being made to recruit for more than 70,000 extra positions, and around 450,000 jobs have been generated in the private sector. Addressing concerns about exam integrity, the Chief Minister stated that strict actions have been taken against those involved in paper leaks.
Crackdown on Exam Irregularities
He revealed that a Special Investigation Team has been established, resulting in the arrest of 569 individuals linked to paper leaks and other irregularities. A total of 410 examinations have been conducted without any leaks. Sharma also emphasized the importance of promoting entrepreneurship among the youth, noting that under the Rajasthan Startup Initiative, 4,623 startups have been registered, and 1,062 startups have received ₹34 crore in financial assistance through the i-Start fund. Highlighting the development of sports, he mentioned that the government is expanding sports infrastructure, establishing academies, and providing better facilities for athletes. Initiatives like the 'Rajasthan Target Olympic Podium Scheme' and 'Khelo India University Games' are enhancing the state's recognition in sports.
