Government Response to Rajput Karni Sena's Demands

Jaipur, August 5 - Mahipal Singh Makrana, the president of the Rajput Karni Sena, announced on Wednesday that the Rajasthan government has agreed to two significant demands from the organization. These include providing financial assistance and a government job to the family of a young man who lost his life following a protest in Jaipur. After meeting with BJP state president Madan Rathore at his residence, Makrana informed reporters that the government has requested two to three days to take action against the officials allegedly responsible for the incident.

He stated, “The government has accepted our two demands. The family of the young man who died during the protest will receive financial aid and a government job. We are grateful to the government for this.” However, he clarified that the Karni Sena's agitation regarding issues related to the UGC will continue.

Makrana further mentioned, “The government has asked for videos related to the responsible officials. We will provide these videos. Any officials found guilty after the investigation will be suspended.”

He expressed appreciation for the government's cooperation and hopes for similar support in the future.

Rathore emphasized that the BJP advocates for social harmony and equal treatment for all sections of society. He remarked, “We want society to remain united, with equal opportunities and respect for everyone. If any incident occurs, it should be resolved peacefully. We are all one family and will address such matters through dialogue.”

It is noteworthy that the Karni Sena organized a rally in Jaipur on Monday, demanding the withdrawal of the UGC Regulations-2026 and addressing other issues related to the upper caste community. Following the protest, one demonstrator lost his life.

According to leaders of the Karni Sena, the deceased has been identified as Devaraj Singh, who reportedly collapsed during the protest. However, police stated that Devaraj Singh died of a heart attack at his home on Monday night.
