Rajasthan's Chief Minister Highlights Global Impact of Modi's Leadership
On July 4, Rajasthan's Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his insightful and impactful foreign policy, asserting that it has redefined India's image on the international platform.
He remarked that Modi's diplomatic skills and robust leadership have elevated India to a position of respect and power among global nations.
During his address at the 12th 'Bharat Gaurav Award' ceremony, which was conducted via video link from Jaipur, CM Sharma emphasized that the extraordinary accomplishments of Indian professionals worldwide have showcased the nation's capabilities and strengths.
The ceremony, organized by the Sanskruti Yuva Sanstha at the UK Parliament's House of Commons, not only honored notable Indians but also underscored the strong and friendly relations between India and the UK.
CM Sharma pointed out Rajasthan's swift advancements, highlighting the state's rich cultural heritage and hospitality, and its commitment to growth through the 'Rising Rajasthan' initiative.
He noted that investment proposals totaling Rs 35 lakh crore have created vast opportunities for employment and economic prosperity in the region. Over the last 18 months, Rajasthan has experienced remarkable growth in investment, innovation, and inclusive development.
The Chief Minister stressed that Rajasthan is ripe for growth, particularly in sectors such as mining, tourism, and industry.
He also mentioned the significant progress in education and healthcare, stating that the state's historical sites, including palaces and forts, attract tourists from around the globe. Additionally, religious tourism, wildlife sanctuaries, and desert attractions are expanding steadily. He encouraged Indians abroad to return, invest in Rajasthan, and actively participate in its development, asserting that their involvement would not only boost the state's growth but also enhance India's global standing.
In congratulating the award recipients, CM Sharma remarked that the Bharat Gaurav Award represents India's unity, boundless potential, and increasing influence on the world stage.
The event honored 25 individuals from India and overseas with citation letters, mementoes, and ceremonial scarves, and saw participation from representatives of 18 different countries.
Notable attendees included London MP Navendu Mishra, former UK Union Minister and House of Lords member Baroness Sandip Verma, House of Lords member Rami Ranger, former Mayor of London Sunil Chopra, former MP Virendra Sharma, Prayag Maha Kumbh advisor Rakesh K. Shukla, and President of Sanskruti Yuva Sanstha, Pt. Suresh Mishra, among others.
