Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma Reports 99.17% Resolution Rate for Public Issues


Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized the crucial role of the Public Grievance Redressal Committee in listening to citizens' concerns and conveying them to the administration. He noted that the committee also plays a significant role in expediting the resolution process and monitoring outcomes. He urged committee members to actively work with a service-oriented mindset to resolve citizens' issues at the district level.


During a gratitude event at the Chief Minister's residence, he stated that committee members serve as a vital link between the public and the administration. They facilitate quick resolutions of grievances and ensure effective implementation of government schemes on the ground.


Sharma reiterated that the state government is dedicated to serving the public and is proactive in addressing their problems. To strengthen the public hearing system, the government has enhanced its mechanisms to listen to the challenges faced by women, youth, farmers, and the underprivileged with utmost sensitivity, thereby realizing the commitment to good governance in Rajasthan.


He highlighted that the 181 Rajasthan Contact service is a robust platform for citizens to voice their complaints to the state government. In June alone, nearly 497,000 new complaints were received, with around 490,000 being resolved. The average resolution time for these complaints has now decreased to just 12 days, achieving an impressive overall resolution rate of 99.17% through this service. The Chief Minister also mentioned that he personally visits the contact center to listen to people's issues and ensure their resolution.


In today's digital age, the Chief Minister pointed out that citizens can now send messages via WhatsApp to access various government services, including residence, income, and caste certificates, from the comfort of their homes. He stated that through Digital Rajasthan, governance is becoming more straightforward, transparent, and citizen-centric, making government services easily accessible to everyone.


Sharma concluded that the vision of a developed Rajasthan will be realized through transparent governance, accountable administration, and the use of technology. Earlier, he engaged with committee members from various districts to learn about their experiences in resolving public grievances and vigilance committee issues, also discussing with members via video conference.


Present at the event were Law and Legal Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel, MP Madan Rathore, and committee members from various districts, with sub-committee members joining the program via video conference from all district headquarters.
