Jaipur. On Sunday, the Speaker of the Rajasthan Assembly, Mr. Vasudev Devnani, welcomed Mr. Rathindra Bose, the Speaker of the West Bengal Assembly, for a meeting at the assembly premises.


Exploring the Political Narrative Museum

During the visit, Mr. Devnani showcased the Political Narrative Museum of the Rajasthan Assembly to Mr. Bose. The museum features various galleries that highlight Rajasthan's political history, democratic evolution, the freedom struggle, the integration of princely states, and the journey of the Rajasthan Assembly's formation. Mr. Bose appreciated the modern technology used to present the political and legislative history of Rajasthan.

Mr. Devnani also guided Mr. Bose through the assembly building and the house, providing insights into the functioning of the house, legislative traditions, and various activities conducted within the assembly.


Discussion on Parliamentary Matters

The two speakers engaged in discussions on various legislative and parliamentary topics. They exchanged experiences on enhancing communication between state assemblies, sharing parliamentary traditions, and strengthening democratic institutions. Mr. Devnani informed Mr. Bose about the historical and legislative traditions of the Rajasthan Assembly, along with innovations being implemented in the assembly complex. Mr. Bose praised the arrangements of the Rajasthan Assembly, the Political Narrative Museum, and the Kargil Shaurya Vatika established in memory of martyrs as commendable initiatives.

As a gesture of goodwill, Mr. Devnani presented a statue of Maharana Pratap, a symbol of Rajasthan's pride, to Mr. Bose. Additionally, he gifted Mr. Bose the emblem of the Rajasthan Assembly, along with an assembly diary, rulebook, and traditional sweets from Rajasthan.
