Jitu Patwari, the President of the Madhya Pradesh Congress, accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of engaging in "politics of blame-shifting." In a conversation with a news agency, he stated that if the BJP, which has governed Madhya Pradesh for over 20 years, cannot empathize with those who have lost family members, then Rahul Gandhi certainly will.
Patwari mentioned that approximately 24-25 individuals have died due to toxic water in Indore. He criticized the Madhya Pradesh government, the cabinet, and the Chief Minister for being embroiled in blame politics. The BJP has been in power in the state for over two decades, with the municipal corporation in Indore being led by the BJP for nearly 25 years and the constituency represented by a BJP MP for over 30 years. Despite this, they have failed to provide clean drinking water, resulting in loss of life. If the BJP cannot understand this pain, Rahul Gandhi will.
