On Thursday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi unveiled a significant relief initiative aimed at assisting victims of the devastating landslide that occurred in 2024. He laid the foundation for the construction of 100 homes as part of this effort.
New Homes to Be Built
The homes being constructed by Congress will each cover an area of 1,100 square feet, with 8 cents of land allocated for each house. Rahul Gandhi, who serves as the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, reassured affected families that his entire family stands firmly with those who have lost everything in this tragedy.

Rahul Gandhi commended the courage of the victims, stating, 'You have lost so much, yet you have not lost your spirit or compassion for others.' He acknowledged the delays in the construction process, attributing them to land permissions and paperwork, but assured that the work would be completed soon.
