Rahul Gandhi Under Fire for 'Vote Theft' Claims
After making serious allegations of 'vote theft' against the Election Commission, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has come under attack from the BJP. Union Minister and BJP leader Bhupendra Yadav remarked that for a long time, the opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has been talking about dropping an atomic bomb. A friend mentioned to me yesterday that he is essentially cutting down the very tree he is sitting on. To be honest, the arrogance in the language of the Congress scion and opposition leader was directed at the employees of the Election Commission.
BJP leaders questioned whether any opposition figure should use such language against India's officials. They pointed out that Rahul Gandhi is always the first to speak out when it comes to attacks on our armed forces. Is it appropriate for the opposition leader to use such language towards the employees of the country's constitutional institutions? It is also Rahul Gandhi who raises questions about the pride of the Indian Army. He does not hesitate to belittle the Supreme Court's comments.
Yadav emphasized that institutions like the army, the Election Commission, and Parliament operate autonomously and independently. We are all completely governed by them. Therefore, when any independent body follows a political process, it should be respected by all. These institutions have been granted constitutional status by the country's constitution. Continuing his attack, he stated that opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has made a significant false claim, alleging that there was an increase of 1 crore votes in Maharashtra.
Yadav pointed out that the Indian Election Commission's website indicates that in 2024, there were 9,71,41,289 voters in the Maharashtra Assembly, while during the Lok Sabha elections, there were 9,30,61,760 voters. This shows an increase of 40 lakh votes between the Lok Sabha and Assembly, contradicting Rahul Gandhi's claim of 1 crore. Should anything he says in the future be understood with a 60% reduction? He asserted that the fabricated narrative Rahul Gandhi attempted to create has been completely dismantled by his own facts. For political gain, the Congress party is trying to undermine India's constitutional institutions with false claims. However, our Indian constitution is robust, and the people of India have repeatedly rejected their false assertions.
