Rahul Gandhi's Interaction with Tea Workers

During his recent trip to Kerala, Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, showcased his well-known 'people engagement' style. On Saturday morning, before departing for Thiruvananthapuram, he took time to visit female workers at the Glamery Estate in Idukki district. As he was heading to board a helicopter, he noticed a group of women working in the tea gardens and promptly instructed his convoy to stop.

Accompanying him were senior Congress leader K.C. Venugopal and MP Dean Kuriakos. Rahul interacted with the women, inquiring about their wages and the process of plucking tea leaves. The female workers explained their tasks and demonstrated how the tea leaf plucking machine operates. Before leaving, Rahul took photos with the workers.

Visit to Marian College

On Friday, Rahul Gandhi visited Marian College in Kuttikkanam to engage with students. He spent Friday night at a resort in Pirumade and set off for Thiruvananthapuram the following morning to participate in various events.
