Referring to a conversation with a student in Prayagraj, he highlighted the struggles faced by young people who, after years of hard work, selling their homes, and accumulating debt, find themselves with empty hands today. According to Gandhi, this failure is not just that of the students but reflects a flawed system that has failed to reward their efforts appropriately.
Questioning Amit Shah's Silence
Gandhi expressed deep sorrow and anger over the police's use of force against students protesting in Delhi regarding their demands. He questioned the silence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, pointing out that despite the government's representatives being absent to respond, the youth faced violence from police batons and pellet guns.
Voices for Rights and Accountability Cannot Be Silenced
The opposition leader warned that no matter how much the government tries to ignore the issue, the demands for youth rights and accountability cannot be suppressed. Earlier, during the 'Students' Echo' event in Prayagraj, Gandhi had laid bare the realities of the current system to the youth. He explained the equation of 'pain, data, and wealth,' stating that while hard work and data belong to the common people, the nation's wealth remains concentrated in the hands of a select few.
