Rahul Gandhi's Strong Critique of BJP's Electoral Success

New Delhi: On Tuesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticized the BJP's recent electoral victories in Bengal and Assam, labeling them as a 'theft' of the people's mandate and a significant advancement in the party's agenda to undermine Indian democracy.

Gandhi expressed his solidarity with the Trinamool Congress (TMC), which faced a significant defeat against the BJP, and urged those celebrating the TMC's loss to rise above trivial political rivalries.

"There are individuals within Congress and beyond who are reveling in TMC's defeat. They must recognize that the BJP's appropriation of Assam and Bengal's mandate represents a grave threat to Indian democracy," Gandhi stated in a post on X.

"We need to set aside petty politics. This issue transcends individual parties; it concerns the future of India," he added.

The BJP successfully displaced the Trinamool Congress in Bengal and secured its third consecutive victory in Assam, as announced in the assembly poll results released on Monday.
