Raghav Chadha Defends Himself Against Allegations

Raghav Chadha, a leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, has released a video in response to accusations of raising soft issues after being removed from his position as the party's deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha. In his post on X, he expressed that he did not wish to speak out, but remaining silent would allow the repeated falsehoods to be perceived as truth. He stated that a coordinated campaign against him has been underway since yesterday, characterized by the same language, words, and allegations. This, he claims, is not a coincidence but a planned attack.

Initially, Chadha considered not responding, but he felt compelled to address the situation, fearing that if lies are repeated often enough, some may start to believe them. The Aam Aadmi Party has made three allegations against him, claiming these are reasons to prevent him from speaking in Parliament. The first allegation is that he remains seated when the opposition walks out of Parliament, which he categorically denies as false.

He further clarified the second allegation, which states that he refused to sign a motion for the impeachment of the Chief Election Commissioner. Chadha asserted that no leader from his party has formally or informally asked him to sign this motion. He pointed out that among the ten AAP MPs in the Rajya Sabha, six or seven did not sign the motion either, questioning why he alone is being blamed.

Chadha emphasized that he did not go to Parliament to create chaos, shout, break microphones, or use abusive language. Instead, he aimed to raise public issues. He criticized the AAP for labeling him as 'cowardly,' asserting that he has consistently brought up significant topics, including Punjab's water issues, pollution in Delhi, inflation, unemployment, and women's menstrual leave. He concluded his response with a reference to being a 'warrior,' stating, 'All lies will soon be exposed; I am wounded, and that makes me dangerous.'
