Chadha's New Role in the Rajya Sabha
Having joined the BJP from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in April, Chadha has taken on a new role in the Rajya Sabha. He was appointed as the chairman of the 'Committee on Petitions' following its reorganization, effective from May 20. Under his leadership, several Rajya Sabha MPs, including Ashok Mittal and Sandeep Pathak, transitioned from AAP to BJP earlier this year.
Criticism Over Silence on NEET Paper Leak
Recently, Chadha faced criticism for remaining silent on the NEET paper leak controversy. When questioned about his lack of public comments on the issue, he explained that his role has changed since moving from the opposition to the ruling party. Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, he stated that while it was his responsibility to raise questions and highlight issues when in opposition, his current focus is on finding solutions.
