Security Preparations for Snana Purnima and Rath Yatra
In Puri, preparations are underway for the upcoming Snana Purnima and the annual Rath Yatra, with a significant security meeting convened on Thursday. This meeting, led by the Central Range Inspector General, focused on the comprehensive arrangements necessary for these important religious events.
To ensure safety and order during Snana Purnima, authorities plan to deploy 70 platoons of security personnel throughout the temple city. Additionally, four commandants of the rank of Superintendent of Police and more than 450 officers will be assigned to manage the rituals and oversee crowd control.
The primary objective of this deployment is to facilitate a smooth darshan experience for devotees while effectively managing traffic during the festivities.
