Punjab Police Dismantles Terror Module

On Tuesday, the Punjab Police announced the disruption of a terrorist module associated with the Pakistan-backed Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). Six individuals linked to an attempted grenade attack outside a liquor store in Batala have been apprehended.

According to Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav, this module was being operated under the direction of terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda, with the involvement of Maninder Billa and Mannu Agwan.

On May 17, a group of young men on motorcycles threw a grenade outside a liquor shop in the 'Focal Point' area of Batala, which fortunately did not detonate. Following this incident, the police registered a case against Mannu Agwan.

Yadav further revealed that the police have arrested Jatin Kumar, also known as Rohan, Barinder Singh, referred to as Sajan, Abraham, known as Rohit, and Sunil Kumar, all originally from Shukarpura. Additionally, Rahul Masiha and Sohit, residents of Batala, were also taken into custody.
