Support for an Injured Spectator
Preity Zinta, co-owner of Punjab Kings, along with opener Priyansh Arya, reached out to Krishan Chand, a 62-year-old fan who was injured during the Punjab Kings vs Lucknow Super Giants match on April 19, 2026. They connected with him through a video call to check on his recovery.
The unfortunate incident took place in the fourth over when a six hit by Priyansh Arya struck Krishan Chand in the face, resulting in bleeding. He received immediate medical attention at the Spectator Medical Point before being transported to a clinic via an ambulance from the Civil Hospital. Accompanied by his son, who is a doctor, he received stitches and is currently stable and recovering well, as stated in a press release from the franchise.
A Heartwarming Gesture
Upon hearing about the incident, both Preity Zinta and Priyansh Arya expressed their concern and quickly reached out to Krishan. During the conversation, they extended a personal invitation for Krishan to attend a future Punjab Kings match at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala.
