Punjab Kings Enhances Community Education with School Renovation
Punjab Kings Transforms Government High School
On Wednesday, Punjab Kings celebrated a significant milestone in its dedication to community development by renovating the Government High School located in Ranimajra Village, New Chandigarh. This school is the inaugural institution to undergo a complete transformation as part of the PBKS Model School Project.
The inauguration took place on the school grounds, attended by Mohit Burman, Co-Owner of Punjab Kings, and LC Gupta, Chief Financial Officer of the franchise. They were joined by Punjab Kings officials, representatives from the implementation partner Yuva Unstoppable, teachers, students, and members of the Village Panchayat.
Comprehensive Renovations and Facilities Upgrades
The renovation encompassed extensive improvements throughout the school. Major civil works included thorough internal and external painting, tiling, and waterproofing to resolve leakage issues. A new toilet block for boys was constructed, while the existing facilities for girls and teachers were upgraded, including an accessible toilet for children with special needs. Additionally, enhancements were made to the mid-day meal kitchen and student dining area, complemented by a newly established kitchen garden.
Academically, the school now boasts a fully equipped science lab, maths lab, and listening lab, along with smart classrooms featuring interactive display panels. The sports facilities have also been revitalized, including a badminton court and a dedicated space for sports activities.
A Commitment to Community Development
During the inauguration, Mohit Burman expressed, "The PBKS Model School Project was initiated with the vision of providing children in our communities with a school they can take pride in. The achievements at Ranimajra exemplify that commitment. Completing our first Model School is a proud moment for all involved, and we are thankful to Yuva Unstoppable and the local community for their invaluable support in realizing this project."
