Punjab Congress President Refuses to Resign Amid Internal Strife

A Firm Stance from Punjab Congress Leadership

In the midst of ongoing discord within the Punjab Congress, state president Amarinder Singh Raja Wadding declared on Monday that he has no intention of resigning from his position. Recently, during party events, Wadding faced chants from supporters of former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi. While addressing the media in the presence of AICC General Secretary Bhupesh Baghel in Bathinda, Wadding firmly stated, 'I will not resign.'

Furthermore, Wadding emphasized that even if the party leadership decides to remove him, he will continue to work towards strengthening the organization.

He highlighted his dedication over the past four years, asserting that the party secured seven out of thirteen seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. During media interactions in Bathinda and Muktsar, both Wadding and Baghel discussed the Congress's initiatives to bolster its presence at every booth.
