Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Critiques Opposition, Promises Continued Development
Mann's Strong Words Against Opposition Parties
During a recent event in Abohar, Punjab's Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann criticized the Opposition, claiming that the Shiromani Akali Dal, Congress, and BJP lack any meaningful proposals for the state's residents.
He accused the Akali Dal of being reduced to a mere family affair, dominated by the Badal family and a few loyalists, while the Congress is embroiled in internal conflicts among its leaders.
Mann suggested that these political factions are colluding, primarily focused on seizing power and safeguarding their own interests.
He expressed confidence that the citizens of Punjab are inclined to grant the Aam Aadmi Party another chance to govern in the upcoming 2027 elections.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the public has recognized the contrast between self-serving politics and governance aimed at public welfare. He expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him thus far and hopes it will continue.
Under the Mukh Mantri Mawan-Dheeyan Satkar Yojna, a total of Rs 1,291 crore has been disbursed to over 37.43 lakh beneficiaries.
Mann assured that the people would respond positively to the misleading narratives from the Opposition by endorsing a development-focused, transparent, and welfare-oriented governance.
Regarding the financial aid initiative for women, he noted that as of October 29, more than 80 lakh women have registered, with a goal of reaching one crore.
He highlighted that there are no restrictive conditions based on household status, ensuring that every eligible woman can access the financial support.
This scheme is set to provide Rs 12,000 crore annually, marking it as one of the largest efforts for women's financial empowerment in India.
