CM Bhagwant Mann's Commitment to Akal Takht

On Tuesday, Bhagwant Mann, the Chief Minister of Punjab, made it clear that he has not requested any changes regarding his scheduled appearance at the Akal Takht. He is prepared to attend as originally planned on January 15 at 10 AM.

According to an official statement, Mann mentioned that he has also informed the President's office about his inability to participate in an event at GNDU University in Amritsar on the same day, as his commitment to the Akal Takht is his priority.

This statement followed a letter from the Akal Takht office, which had rescheduled his appearance from 10 AM to 4:30 PM on January 15.

In response to the letter from the Akal Takht office, Mann took to the social media platform X, stating, "Respected Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib, I have no other engagements on January 15. I have also notified the President's office about this."

He further clarified that neither he nor his office has issued any official request or statement regarding a change in the timing. This development comes after Mann was summoned last week concerning his alleged anti-Sikh remarks.
