Chief Minister's Allegations Against BJP

On Saturday, Punjab's Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann accused the BJP of misusing the Enforcement Directorate (ED). This accusation comes as the ED conducted another search at the residence of Punjab minister and MLA Sanjeev Arora. Mann pointed out that this marks the third time in a year that the ED has visited Arora's home, with the second occurrence happening just last month. Despite these repeated searches, he claimed that nothing has been uncovered so far. He emphasized that Punjab will not yield to pressure or political tactics.

Statements from the Chief Minister

In a social media post, Mann stated that the ED, acting on behalf of the BJP, has once again targeted Sanjeev Arora's residence. He reiterated that this is the third raid in a year and the second in just one month, yet no evidence has been found. Mann expressed his desire to inform Prime Minister Modi that Punjab is a land of Gurus, which even Aurangzeb could not conquer. He asserted that Punjab, the land of Gurus and freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, has always stood firmly against injustice and will continue to do so.

Bhagat Singh's Legacy

The post highlighted that this is the land of Bhagat Singh, who never bowed to the British, and thus Punjab will not bend to Modi's schemes. Mann concluded that the unethical alliance between the ED and the BJP will begin to unravel in Punjab. Additionally, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh criticized the BJP, labeling the ED as the party's 'contract killer' and alleging that these raids are politically motivated. He claimed that the agency would spread 'fake news' for a few days before leaving without any results.

Sanjay Singh's Remarks

In a post on X, Singh remarked that the BJP's 'contract killer' ED has returned to Punjab. He noted that raids have commenced at the residence of cabinet minister Sanjeev Arora. Singh further stated that this spectacle would last for two to three days, during which fake news would circulate, and the 'contract killer' would depart. He questioned how many more tactics Modi would employ to tarnish the reputation of the Bhagwant Mann government and hinder the work of the people of Punjab.
