Punjab Assembly Honors the Sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh's Sons
Tribute to the Martyrs
On Tuesday, the Punjab Assembly paid homage to the remarkable sacrifice of the four sons of the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh. The assembly honored Baba Ajit Singh, Baba Jujhar Singh, Baba Zorawar Singh, and Baba Fateh Singh, while also remembering Mata Gujri, Baba Jeevan Singh, Baba Sangat Singh, and Diwan Todar Mal.
Significance of Their Sacrifice
During a special one-day session, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann emphasized that these supreme sacrifices serve as a lesson for society to never bow down to oppression and to remain steadfast in their principles. He further stated that the Punjab government commemorated the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur with great dignity and preparation. Participating in the discussion within the state assembly, Mann remarked that the extraordinary sacrifices of the Sahibzadas hold a unique place in the history of all humanity.
