On Sunday, law enforcement in Pune conducted a raid on a private apartment, leading to the dismantling of a drug party. Authorities confiscated various substances, including drugs, hookah equipment, and alcoholic beverages. Among those apprehended were seven individuals, one of whom is Pranjal Khewalkar, the son-in-law of former Maharashtra minister Eknath Khadse.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Nikhil Pingale stated during a press briefing that the raid was initiated following intelligence about a rave party occurring in a studio apartment in the upscale Khardi area. The police seized 2.7 grams of a cocaine-like substance, 70 grams of a marijuana-like substance, a hookah pot, various hookah flavors, and several bottles of liquor from the location.

In response to the incident, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis remarked, 'I learned about this through the media. I have been engaged in various programs today and have not yet received a detailed briefing. Based on media reports, it appears that the police have successfully disrupted a rave party where drugs were discovered. I will provide further comments once I have more information.
