Cockroach People's Party Meets with Union Minister
Saurabh Das and Ashutosh Ranka, representatives of the Cockroach People's Party, recently met with Union Minister JP Nadda to present their demands, which include the removal of Dharmendra Pradhan. Following this meeting, Minister Nadda tweeted that for the first time, the protesters proposed a dialogue with the government, which began at 11:50 AM. He noted that the discussions were conducted in a positive atmosphere, and after initial talks, the delegation submitted a written memorandum around 4 PM. Nadda urged all protesters to end their sit-in and assist the administration in restoring normalcy.

Saurabh Das shared on social media that he and Ashutosh Ranka have been at JP Nadda's residence since noon, outlining their demands, which include the immediate resignation or removal of Dharmendra Pradhan. The minister assured them that he would address the matter at the appropriate level, although no firm commitments were made. Das emphasized that the peaceful protesters would not cease their demonstrations until their demands are met. He also mentioned that the minister assured them that no further actions would take place at Jantar Mantar and its vicinity, but there has been no confirmation regarding police actions.
Key Demands of the Cockroach People's Party
During the meeting with Minister Nadda, the Cockroach People's Party presented three main demands: the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, permission for Sonam Wangchuk to go to Jantar Mantar, and a compensation of 1 crore rupees for the families of students who have committed suicide. Meanwhile, the Delhi police refuted claims circulating on social media that Abhijit Deepke, the founder of the Cockroach People's Party, had been detained. The police labeled these claims as 'completely false.'
Police Response to Detention Claims
In a post on social media, the police clarified that misleading reports regarding Abhijit Deepke's alleged detention by Delhi police are currently spreading across various platforms. They formally stated that these allegations are entirely untrue and that Deepke is present at the protest site. Earlier, Saurabh Das had claimed on social media that Deepke had been taken into custody, urging all MPs to take to the streets in support of the students. He accused the police of brutally attacking peaceful protesters.
