Promotion Ceremony Celebrates Inspector Deva Nand's New Role in Nurpur Police

In a significant advancement, Sub-Inspector Deva Nand from the Nurpur Police District has been elevated to the rank of Inspector. A formal Piping Ceremony was conducted at the Superintendent of Police's office in Nurpur to commemorate this achievement.
The event was attended by the Superintendent of Police for Nurpur, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Jawali, along with other personnel from the SP Office. Senior officials ceremoniously placed the Inspector's stars on Deva Nand's shoulders, officially recognizing his new position. Following this promotion, Inspector Deva Nand has taken on the role of Station House Officer (SHO) at the Fatehpur Police Station, where he has already begun his duties.
A Career of Distinction Inspector Deva Nand began his journey in the police force on May 11, 1992, accumulating over 34 years of dedicated service. His career has included significant roles in various critical units within the department. He has also served on deputation with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Chandigarh and was associated with the 2nd Himachal Pradesh Armed Police Battalion in Sakoh. His efforts have been pivotal in maintaining law and order in the districts of Chamba, Kangra, and Bilaspur.
Having served as Additional SHO at Police Station Nurpur since March 2026, he now leads the Fatehpur Police Station as Inspector.
During the ceremony, the SP Nurpur, SDPO Jawali, and other staff members expressed their warm congratulations and best wishes to Inspector Deva Nand for his future endeavors in this new capacity.
