Prize Money for ICC T20 World Cup 2026: The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 is nearing its conclusion, with the final match set to take place between India and New Zealand. Significant Prize Money for the Winning Team
The ICC allocates substantial prize money to participating teams in the T20 World Cup. For the 2026 edition, the International Cricket Council has announced a prize pool of $13.5 million, which is approximately ₹120 crores.
According to reports, the team that wins the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will receive a hefty sum of $3 million (around ₹27.48 crores), while the runner-up will be awarded $1.6 million (approximately ₹14.65 crores). Additionally, teams eliminated in the semi-finals will receive around ₹11 crores from the ICC.
Prize Money for Other Participating Teams
A total of 20 teams participated in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Out of these, only 8 teams advanced to the Super 8 stage, while the remaining 12 teams were eliminated in the group stage. Notably, Bangladesh withdrew from the tournament, but they will still receive prize money equivalent to that of the teams eliminated in the group stage.
Reports indicate that teams reaching the Super 8 will receive $380,000 each (approximately ₹7.24 crores), including strong teams like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and West Indies.
Meanwhile, other teams, including Bangladesh, will receive $250,000 each, which translates to around ₹2.29 crores for each of those teams.
