Priya Saroj, a Member of Parliament from the Samajwadi Party, has lodged a cyber complaint regarding the circulation of images allegedly created using artificial intelligence. She claims that these images were accompanied by offensive comments aimed at damaging her reputation. The MP from Machhlishahr, who is engaged to Indian cricketer Rinku Singh, has accused two individuals, including a BJP leader, of disseminating false and misleading content online. The complaint has been filed at the cyber police station.


Concerns Over AI Misuse in Cyber Crimes

The issue gained attention when Priya Saroj publicly shared details of her complaint on social media, sparking widespread reactions and raising new concerns about the misuse of artificial intelligence in cyber crimes targeting women. She further alleged that individuals associated with the BJP's IT cell in Jaunpur intentionally created a misleading environment by spreading AI-generated fake images to damage her reputation. Saroj emphasized that this is not merely ideological politics but rather a tactic of fear and intimidation. Additionally, she expressed concern over the increasing misuse of AI technology against women on social media.
