In a troubling incident in Durg district, Chhattisgarh, a principal has been taken into custody for allegedly beating a three-and-a-half-year-old nursery student and taping her mouth after she said 'Radhe-Radhe'. Authorities confirmed the arrest on Thursday. The principal, Ila Even Kaulvin, was apprehended following a complaint lodged by the child's father, Praveen Yadav, at the Nandini Nagar police station regarding the incident that occurred at the 'Mother Teresa English Medium School' located in the Bagdumra area.
According to officials, Yadav reported that when his daughter returned from school on Wednesday, she revealed that Principal Ila Even Kaulvin had hit her and taped her mouth for saying 'Radhe-Radhe'. Following this complaint, police registered a case against the principal under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015. Nandini police station in-charge Paras Singh Thakur stated that the principal was arrested after the complaint was filed, and an investigation is currently underway.
