India's fast bowler Prince Yadav has been ruled out of the third and final T20I against Zimbabwe due to a hamstring injury sustained during the second match of the series, as confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday.

Sooryavanshi Shines in India's Innings

The young pacer, who played in the first two matches, was not included in the squad for the final T20I in Harare, prompting a change in India's playing XI. The BCCI provided an update via social media, stating, "Prince Yadav was unavailable for selection in the third T20I due to a hamstring niggle sustained while bowling in the second T20I against Zimbabwe."

India won the toss and opted to bat first, scoring an impressive 192 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs, largely thanks to a remarkable performance by 15-year-old opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The talented batter scored 81 runs off just 49 balls, featuring eight fours and four sixes. He reached his second T20I half-century in a mere 31 balls before narrowly missing out on a century.

Match Highlights

India started strong with Sooryavanshi and Abhishek Sharma, who collectively scored 17 runs in the opening over bowled by Zimbabwe's captain Sikandar Raza. Although Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for just two runs in the following over by Blessing Muzarabani, Sooryavanshi and Ishan Kishan kept the momentum going during the powerplay.

Kishan contributed 29 runs before being bowled by Raza, while captain Shreyas Iyer added a quick 27 runs off 18 balls. Rinku Singh finished the innings with a solid 25 runs off 14 balls, and Tilak Varma remained not out on 11, helping India conclude their innings on a high note.

For Zimbabwe, Brad Evans was the standout bowler, taking 2 wickets for 41 runs, while Sikandar Raza, Blessing Muzarabani, and Wessly Madhevere each claimed one wicket.
