Prime Minister Modi's Visit to Ajmer
On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to arrive in Ajmer, Rajasthan, a pivotal location for the state. During this visit, he will accelerate the joint development initiatives of the central and state governments by inaugurating and laying the foundation for 43 significant projects across various sectors. This event, attended by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, marks a substantial step towards strengthening the industrial, social, and economic framework of the state. Notably, this will be the Prime Minister's first trip to Rajasthan this year.
Highlights of the Development Initiatives
1. Launch of 43 Projects: The Prime Minister will announce a total of 16,686 crore rupees worth of development projects from both the central and state governments. This includes the inauguration and foundation laying of 43 key projects in areas such as urban development, drinking water supply, roads, railways, irrigation, energy, and industrial infrastructure.
2. State Government's 34 Projects: Approximately 8,554 crore rupees will be allocated to 34 projects related to various state departments, including urban development, public health engineering, public works, energy, water resources, and industry.
3. NHAI Energy Projects: The inauguration and foundation laying of 9 major projects related to national highways and energy, costing around 8,132 crore rupees, will also take place. This includes 2 foundation stones and 7 inaugurations.
4. Strengthening Road Infrastructure: The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation for national highway projects worth over 4,516 crore rupees. This includes a greenfield expressway from Bandikui to Jaipur and various enhancements to national highways across the state.
5. Elevated Road Projects in Jaipur and Jodhpur: The event will also see the foundation laying of elevated road projects costing over 286 crore rupees in Jaipur and 1,243 crore rupees in Jodhpur, along with a state highway project in Baran.
6. Drinking Water Projects: In line with his commitment to providing clean and safe drinking water, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation for several packages of the Nohera and Parwan Akavad drinking water projects, costing over 3,268 crore rupees.
7. Transmission System Initiatives: A transmission system worth 3,616 crore rupees will be inaugurated to facilitate electricity transmission from renewable energy centers in Rajasthan, along with the foundation laying of several grid substations.
8. Major Projects in Western Rajasthan: The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation for various infrastructure and drinking water supply projects in the Jodhpur-Pali Marwar Industrial Area to promote industrial development and job creation.
9. Job Appointments for Youth: The Prime Minister will distribute appointment letters to 21,863 selected youths in various state departments, including numerous positions in public health and technical assistance.
10. Launch of HPV Vaccination Campaign: The Prime Minister will initiate an HPV vaccination campaign for girls aged 9 to 14, aimed at preventing cervical cancer and promoting health awareness among adolescents.
