Ahmedabad, January 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to commence a three-day tour of Gujarat starting this Saturday. His itinerary includes significant religious, cultural, diplomatic, and infrastructure events in Somnath, Rajkot, and Ahmedabad.
Day One: Somnath Temple Activities
The Prime Minister's journey will kick off on Saturday evening in Somnath. At 8 p.m., he will join devotees at the Somnath Temple for a session of Omkar Mantra chanting, followed by a special drone show within the temple premises.
Honoring Warriors on January 11
On January 11, at 9:45 a.m., Modi will take part in the 'Shaurya Yatra', a ceremonial procession that pays tribute to the numerous warriors who have defended the Somnath Temple throughout history. Following this, at 10:15 a.m., he will perform Darshan and Pooja at the temple, and at 11 a.m., he will attend a public event celebrating the 'Somnath Swabhiman Parv'.
Regional Conference in Rajkot
Later that day, the Prime Minister will travel to Rajkot to attend the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference focused on the Kutch and Saurashtra regions. At 1:30 p.m., he will inaugurate the trade show and exhibition associated with the conference, followed by the formal opening of the regional conference at 2 p.m. at Marwadi University, where he will address the attendees.
Metro Inauguration in Ahmedabad
From Rajkot, Modi will proceed to Ahmedabad. At 5:15 p.m., he will inaugurate the final segment of Phase 2 of the Ahmedabad Metro, which connects Sector 10A to Mahatma Mandir, during a ceremony at the Mahatma Mandir Metro Station.
Meeting with German Chancellor
On January 12, Prime Minister Modi will meet with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Ahmedabad. Their schedule includes a visit to the Sabarmati Ashram at 9:30 a.m., followed by participation in the International Kite Festival at the Sabarmati Riverfront at 10 a.m. Bilateral discussions will commence at 11:15 a.m. at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, focusing on the progress of the India–Germany Strategic Partnership, which has recently celebrated its 25th anniversary.
