Prime Minister Modi Vows to Combat Exam Paper Leaks for Students' Future

Addressing the Issue of Exam Paper Leaks

In a recent video message, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that those involved in leaking exam papers will face strict consequences. He highlighted that the government has taken significant steps to address this issue, including the passage of a robust anti-paper leak bill in both houses of Parliament. Modi noted that incidents of paper leaks during various examinations pose a serious challenge not only for students but also for the central and state governments.

He stated that it has become essential to implement major reforms in the education system to tackle this problem effectively. Modi remarked, "The central and state governments have been grappling with the issue of paper leaks for several years." He assured that the government is diligently working towards establishing an effective examination system. The Prime Minister reiterated, "We will not spare the gangs and mafias that jeopardize the future of our children."

Discussing the measures taken by the government, Modi mentioned the formation of a task force, the establishment of fast-track courts, and the solicitation of suggestions from states to strengthen the examination process and prevent irregularities.

He affirmed the government's commitment to ensuring that students receive equal and fair opportunities. Modi stated, "We will not allow incidents of paper leaks to continue unchecked. Our campaign against this issue will persist in the future." Earlier on Thursday, Parliament approved amendments to the anti-paper leak law, which includes provisions for stringent penalties.

The government has expressed its dedication to taking all necessary steps to protect the interests of students, who are considered the future of the nation. The 'Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026' was passed by the Rajya Sabha amid the walkout of opposition members.
