Government's Stance on NEET-UG 2026 Integrity

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reassured students that the government is fully committed to addressing the recent NEET-UG 2026 paper leak incident. He emphasized that those who jeopardize the examination's integrity must face the harshest legal consequences.

During the ‘Mangal Milan’ meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Parliamentary Party, held ahead of the second day of the Monsoon Session, Modi labeled the paper leak as a grave issue, advocating for a zero-tolerance policy towards such offenses.

Following the meeting, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju informed the press that the Prime Minister stressed the importance of not politicizing examination-related fraud. He insisted that the primary focus should be on delivering justice for students and maintaining the credibility of the nation's examination system.

Modi also urged for enhanced collaboration between the central and state governments to track down those responsible for the paper leak and to ensure prompt and severe legal action. He mentioned that the government would seek advice from legal experts to bolster the legal framework and implement effective measures to avert similar incidents in the future.

Rijiju reiterated the government's dedication to safeguarding students' interests and restoring faith in the examination process through decisive legal and administrative actions.
