This meeting follows the formation of the delegation after the tragic Pahalgam attack, which claimed the lives of 26 tourists. The delegation, comprising representatives from various political parties and former diplomats, has undertaken missions to over 30 countries to promote India's zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. Each group, led by different MPs, has visited key nations to strengthen international ties and advocate for India's stance on security. Meeting with Global Delegation

On Tuesday at 7 PM, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host members of a multi-party global delegation at his official residence on Lok Kalyan Marg. According to sources, the office of Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has informed the delegation members about the upcoming meeting. The delegation includes representatives from various parties, such as Supriya Sule from NCP-SCP, Shashi Tharoor from Congress, and Asaduddin Owaisi from AIMIM, along with former ambassadors and opposition MPs. These groups have completed their diplomatic missions to various world capitals to promote India's zero-tolerance policy against terrorism.


Background of the Delegation Formation

The formation of this delegation followed Operation Sindoor, which was India's response to the Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir that resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists. As part of India's diplomatic outreach after Operation Sindoor, over 50 individuals, including MPs from various political parties, former ambassadors, and ex-government officials, visited more than 30 countries. Seven MPs led their respective groups, with Group 1, led by BJP's Baijayant Panda, visiting Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria. Group 2, under BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, traveled to the UK, France, Germany, the EU, Italy, and Denmark.


Further Delegation Details

Group 3, led by JD(U) leader Sanjay Kumar Jha, visited Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore. Group 4, under Shiv Sena's Eknath Shinde, traveled to UAE, Liberia, Congo, and Sierra Leone. Group 5, led by Congress's Shashi Tharoor, visited the USA, Panama, Guyana, Brazil, and Colombia. Group 6, led by DMK's Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, went to Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia, and Russia. Finally, Group 7, led by NCP-SCP's Supriya Sule, visited Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia, and South Africa.
