Prime Minister Modi to Meet Family of Shubham Dwivedi in Kanpur Visit
PM Modi's Visit to Kanpur: Meeting with Shubham Dwivedi's Family
During his visit to Kanpur on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet the family of Shubham Dwivedi, a businessman who tragically lost his life in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh informed that the Prime Minister will meet Shubham's wife Aishanya, father Sanjay Dwivedi, and mother Seema Dwivedi immediately after arriving at Chakeri Airport.
The grieving family has already been informed about this decision from the Prime Minister's office.
Aishanya confirmed to the media that they were notified about the Prime Minister's visit and expressed their anticipation for the meeting at the airport.
Just a week prior, Kanpur MP Ramesh Awasthi had written to the Prime Minister's office, requesting that he meet the family of Shubham Dwivedi, who was a local resident and victim of the Pahalgam attack.
Awasthi had urged the Prime Minister to visit the mourning family during his trip to Kanpur on May 30. He mentioned that the family expressed gratitude to PM Modi for Operation Sindoor, which they believe brought peace to Shubham's soul in response to the terrorist attack.
The terrorist incident in Pahalgam on April 22 resulted in the deaths of 26 individuals, including 31-year-old Shubham. He had recently married on February 12 of this year, and his last rites were conducted on April 24.
