Modi's Visit to Varanasi

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a one-day visit to his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, where he is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation for various development projects worth approximately ₹2,200 crores. Additionally, he will address a public gathering during his visit.


In a post on 'X' on Friday, Modi expressed, "Tomorrow, August 2, is a significant day for my family in Kashi. Around 11 AM, I will inaugurate and lay the foundation for several projects related to education, health, sports, tourism, and connectivity."


He also mentioned that he would have the honor of releasing the 20th installment of the PM-Kisan scheme during this event.


Officials have indicated that security measures in Varanasi have been intensified due to the Prime Minister's visit, with multiple layers of security personnel deployed along his travel routes.


According to an official statement, Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation for numerous development projects totaling around ₹2,200 crores. These initiatives span various sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, tourism, urban development, and cultural heritage.


During his visit, the Prime Minister will also lay the groundwork for smart distribution projects and the undergrounding of electrical infrastructure in his constituency. He will address a public meeting in the Banouli (Kalika Dham) village of the Sewapuri assembly area.
