On the evening of May 26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to conduct a road show in Ahmedabad, celebrating the success of Operation Sindoor. The event will commence at 6:30 PM, stretching from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport to Indira Bridge. According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police for Traffic in Ahmedabad (East Zone), over 50,000 attendees are expected to participate in the road show.

Traffic Disruptions Expected

Due to the road show, several roads in Ahmedabad will be closed, impacting travel between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, as well as affecting those entering and exiting the city on May 26.

An advisory issued by the Ahmedabad Traffic Police on Saturday indicates that restrictions will be in place from 4 PM to 9 PM due to security protocols. Residents are advised to consider how this may affect their plans.

Road Closures and Alternative Routes

Ahmedabad Police Commissioner G.S. Malik has released a notification detailing extensive road closures and alternative routes. Given the security concerns, cultural events, large public gatherings, and VVIP movements during Prime Minister Modi's visit, traffic restrictions and diversions will be enforced throughout the city.

The traffic police have urged individuals to avoid the route from Daffnala to Airport Circle to Indira Bridge starting at 3 PM. The Deputy Commissioner of Police for Traffic stated that those with flight schedules can show their tickets to traffic officers to gain passage.

Check for Road Closures and Alternatives

According to the advisory, the route from Ahmedabad Airport to Airport Circle, Indira Bridge Circle, and from Mother Dairy to Apollo Circle will be closed to all vehicle traffic.

Vehicles heading from Indira Bridge towards Gandhinagar should take the Nobel Nagar T-junction, proceed to Nana Chiloda Circle, Karai Circle, and then head towards Apollo Circle.

For those traveling from Indira Bridge to Daffnala, the recommended route is through Nobel Nagar T-junction, Rajveer Circle, Naroda Patiya, Memco Circle, Rameshwar Circle, FSL Circle, and then to Daffnala Circle.

Travelers from Apollo Circle to Indira Bridge and Naroda should turn towards Karai Circle, proceed to Nana Chiloda, and then continue towards Naroda.

Vehicles heading from Apollo Circle to Shahibag can turn towards Tapovan Circle, proceed to Prabodhrawal Circle, and then continue to their destination via Subhash Bridge Circle.

The route from Daffnala Circle to Airport Circle and Indira Bridge Circle to Bhadreshwar Y-junction will also be closed to all vehicles.

From Daffnala Circle, one can reach Gandhinagar via Subhash Bridge → Subhash Bridge Circle → Prabodhrawal Circle → Chimanbhai Patel Bridge → Visat Circle → Tapovan Circle.

Alternatively, one can take the route from Daffnala Circle → Ghevra Circle → FSL Circle → Rameshwar Circle → Memco Circle → Naroda Patiya → Galaxy Circle → Sutarna Factory Circle, continuing directly to Nana Chiloda Circle.
