Modi's Enduring Popularity

According to the Morning Consult Global Leader Approval Tracker, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sustained his popularity over 11 years in office, achieving a remarkable 75% approval rating, making him the "most trusted" leader globally. The data indicates that only 18% of respondents disapproved of his leadership, while 7% had no opinion.

In the rankings, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung secured the second position with a 59% approval rating. Following him were Argentina's President Javier Milei and Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney, with approval ratings of 57% and 56%, respectively. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese rounded out the top five with a 54% rating.

Global Leader Rankings

Claudia Sheinbaum from Mexico and Switzerland's Karin Keller-Sutter held the sixth and seventh spots with approval ratings of 53% and 48%. Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump's approval rating fell to 44%, placing him eighth. Poland's Donald Tusk and Italy's Giorgia Meloni followed with ratings of 41% and 40%, respectively. Since 2021, Modi has consistently held the top position in the Morning Consult tracker, starting with a 70% rating. His approval ratings were 71% in 2022, 76% in 2023, and reached 78% in 2024.

BJP Leaders Praise Modi

In light of these findings, BJP leaders have commended Modi for being recognized as the world's most trusted leader. Amit Malviya, a BJP leader, expressed that the nation is in capable hands, highlighting Modi's popularity among over a billion Indians and his respect from millions globally. He reiterated that Modi remains at the top of the Morning Consult Global Leader Approval Tracker, recognized as the leader with the highest ratings worldwide.
