Prime Minister Modi Launches Major Development Projects in Ajmer
Significant Development Initiatives Unveiled
On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for various development projects in Ajmer, amounting to over ₹16,680 crores. These initiatives aim to enhance urban development, drinking water supply, road infrastructure, irrigation, energy, and industrial facilities.
Addressing a large gathering after the event, Modi highlighted that the BJP's dual-engine government in Rajasthan has completed two years and is now on a new path of development.
Commitment to Development
Modi emphasized that the promises made by the BJP government regarding development are being fulfilled rapidly. He stated that today marks a significant step forward in this development journey. He noted the importance of this occasion, mentioning that the BJP government in Rajasthan has recently completed two years in office, and he is pleased that the state is advancing on a new developmental trajectory.
Investment in Key Sectors
During the event, Prime Minister Modi announced the initiation of projects worth approximately ₹17,000 crores related to Rajasthan's development. He pointed out that new energy is being infused into every sector, including roads, electricity, water, health, and education. These projects are expected to enhance the convenience for the people of Rajasthan and create job opportunities for the youth.
Criticizing the previous government, Modi remarked that until two years ago, reports of corruption in recruitment and bureaucratic delays dominated the news from Rajasthan. He assured that such bureaucratic inefficiencies are now being addressed, with strict actions taken against wrongdoers.
Job Creation Efforts
Highlighting job creation, Modi mentioned that over 21,000 appointment letters have been distributed to young individuals. He expressed his congratulations to the people of Rajasthan for this significant change, new job opportunities, and ongoing development efforts. Additionally, he launched a nationwide HPV vaccination campaign from Ajmer, emphasizing its importance for empowering women across the country.
Cultural Significance of Ajmer
Modi acknowledged Ajmer's historical and cultural significance, describing it as a land of faith and valor, home to pilgrimage sites and revolutionary heroes. Reflecting on his recent visit to Israel, he noted that the people of Israel still honor the bravery of Major Dalpat Singh from Rajasthan. He had the privilege of paying tribute to Major Singh's valor in the Israeli parliament.
Enhancing Road Connectivity
To boost road connectivity, Modi inaugurated several national highway projects, including a four-lane greenfield expressway from Bandikui to Jaipur, a six-lane access-controlled green highway as part of the Amritsar-Jamnagar economic corridor, and an eight-lane carriageway in the Delhi-Vadodara access-controlled greenfield expressway.
